A letter to my son...

Dear Krue,

They say little boys love their mommies, and you have proved that to be true! The past 364 days have been nothing short of Magical. Sometimes your daddy and I will be sitting together watching TV, and he'll say " You remember that one time we had a baby" lol. We are still SO amazed that you are ours. It has been an incredible journey from spending nearly a month in the NICU to you crawling around the house full speed getting into everything (and I mean EVERYTHING).

You have a smile that can light up any room, and a laugh that fills everyone's heart with so much joy. I hope you FEEL just how loved you are everyday. I hope you SEE just how happy you make the people around you. I hope you KNOW just how special you are.

I have truly enjoyed watching you grow into one handsome toddler! It's bittersweet though. With every milestone you reach, I realize you are one moment further away from being mommy's little baby. I will always be rooting for you and cheering you on the loudest, but just know I'm crying on the inside. I'll forever be your # 1 fan, and I pray you always remember you can count on mommy for any and everything.

My favorite moments are tickling you just to hear your belly laugh, watching you eat your peanut butter puffs, bubble baths with baby shark, our target shopping trips, and rocking you to sleep each night. I love coming to get you out of your crib in the morning (even if it's 5 am) because I've missed you all night. I love watching videos of you while you nap. I love your wet kisses and sweet hugs. I love watching you and your daddy be boys. I love the way you love me. But most of all, I love that you're my baby and I'm your mommy.

Tomorrow, we celebrate you turning ONE, but today I'm going to hold you for as long as you'll let me. Cake and ice cream on me tomorrow!
